Enjoy staying in Loft 1D

LOFT1D is on the first floor of ‘De IJsfabriek’ with large windows overlooking the quiet green patio. Guest have access and there is free to use garden furniture. LOFT1D is situated right in the middle of the building complex with city and traffic noise far away. Yet, LOFT1D is in the lively southern part of town and it’s only a short walk northbound to Antwerp’s historical city centre.

Going west, to the riverside (it’s only a 400 meter walk and the sunset is lovely) you’ll find Kloosterstraat with amusing brocante and surprising antiques. Going east, around the corner there is Nationalestraat, giving you a stretch of unique boutique shops and the Fashion Museum (MOMU). To the south, just a stroll away, there is the Museum of modern art (MUHKA), the Royal Museum of Fine Arts (KMSKA) and the Photo Museum (FOMU).

In either direction, you’ll come across plenty of cafés and restaurants.

LOFT

LOFT1D is the guest loft by LOFT4C, the interior design company of Filip Deslee and Keith Baert. It’s an austere yet cosy space of 90m². Here you can stay in less is more luxury. The setting is quiet and peaceful yet right in the midst of where the action is.

NEIGHBOURHOOD

The 19th century ‘IJsfabriek’ was renovated in 2003 into a complex of apartments and lofts with a shared courtyard. The industrial look and feel of the old ice factory is kept on the outside which makes it an extraordinary historic site in the heart of a lively neighbourhood and the popular southern part of the city, conveniently called ”t Zuid’.

CITY

Antwerp is a bustling metropolis just small enough to make it accessible and friendly, with many good restaurants and excellent cafés, busy shopping streets and hidden treasures, and a surprising cultural offer with an international appeal. All of this within a walking distance of LOFT 1D.

My Boyfriend and I had a lovely stay in the loft of Keith. The Loft has a an excuisite interior and is very modern. At arrival Keith has given us a tour through the appartment and showed us the concept of the twisting doors which is jawdropping. The fridge is filled with things such as prosecco and orange juice for you to use and free of use. Check out wasn’t a problem at all. Just had to let them know when we would leave and he’d be there to have a formal goodbye. Keith also send us a mail with places to go in Antwerp. Unfortunately we didn’t have the chance to see all of them but it makes him an amazing host! I’d recommend him to everyone and the Loft is situated only 10 minutes walking from the city centre!

Keith war super gastfreundlich und hatte neben guten Tips für Antwerpen und die Benutzung des Lofts auch noch den Kühlschrank mit gutem Wein, Bier, Cola und ein paar Lebensmitteln gefüllt. A fantastic loft in the heart of Antwerp!

We had the pleasure of spending a few days in this beautiful loft – and it was simply perfect. The accommodation is stylishly furnished, with great attention to detail and a great mix of timeless design and cozy flair. The high ceilings and large windows create a wonderfully open atmosphere. The overall furnishings are of high quality with many special touches. Everything was very clean; we felt right at home.

The location is also top-notch – right in the heart of Antwerp, with cafés, restaurants, and attractions in the immediate vicinity.
We would especially like to highlight the host, who was very friendly, helpful, and available at all times. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands.
